Short films: directing, writing, and more
I am a BFI alumnus and former BAFTA mentee. I tend to make comedy / dramedy short films with pacy dialogue and whacky twists.
Short films I have directed:
I have worked on a lot of other short films in various crew roles, in both production and post-production.
I have recently started curating film screening events to showcase minority language media; our first event was at the National Eisteddfod 2025 in Wrexham.
Knackered - a short film in Welsh
Knackered is a Welsh-language short comedy which I directed and co-wrote with Glyn Owen.
The film follows Teifi and Beca, two young women in rural Ceredigion who go to ridiculous lengths to hide a dead body on a sheep farm.
Knackered has played at over a dozen festivals so far, including multiple international screenings, several minority-language-specific festivals, and the National Eisteddfod 2025 in Wrexham. It recently won the Best Comedy award at Tir Ddraig Film Festival 2025.
The film features music from producer Stevie J Jones and triple harpist Cerys Hafana.
More info on the film here.
Ghost Insurance - award-winning short film
Ghost Insurance is a short comedy about a shady salesman and a gullible father which I wrote, directed, and did VFX for.
Winner of Best Young Filmmaker at Wigan & Leigh Film Festival 2023 and Young Filmmaker of the Year (Fantastic Category) at Cinemagic Film Festival 2023. Nominated for Best Writing at BFI Future Film Festival 2024.
Starring Nabil Elouahabi (The Outrun, Top Boy, Ali G Indahouse), Darcy Dixon, and Charlie Folorunsho.
Microshorts
During 2024 I created a series of micro short films with filmmaker friends. Here are a couple:

Forgotten People, Forgotten Planet
Forgotten People, Forgotten Planet was a series of three short films by the Blue Apple Special Assignments Company exploring how the learning disabled community are included or excluded from conversations about climate change. The films toured libraries in Hampshire as an art installation.

-
Facilitation work and arts workshops
-
Tech support for simultaneous interpretation
-
Minority language film screenings
-
Four More Walls: award-winning digital workshops
My background
I've been drawing as long as I can remember, and making films as soon as I could get my hands on a camera.
I got into technical theatre at university, and learned the software for video design and projection mapping during lockdown.
I'm self-taught when it comes to coding and software development.
I now work as a freelance artist, filmmaker, and designer.
Skills
I'm a generalist and have a wide skillset, including:
Education
I have a BA in Philosophy and Linguistics (graduated 2021).
I studied film with the BFI FutureFilm Academy (2017) and was on the BAFTA Mentorship programme (2018).
I studied facilitation with the National Theatre Learning Department.

My interests
I'm interested in stories: film, theatre, prose, music, journalism, anything with narrative.

I'm interested in minority languages -- I've started curating film screenings of films in British/Celtic minority languages.
I love movies -- my favourite filmmaker is Buster Keaton.
I studied analytic philosophy at university, and am particularly interested in metaphysics and logic. I wrote my thesis on time travel.
I play bass guitar and occasionally write songs. I play basketball (badly) and am taking gymnastics/tricking classes.
