Video for performance
I do video design, AV tech, and scripted captions for theatre and live events.
I design all my video assets with Photoshop and After Effects and then build showfiles in Isadora, QLab, or OBS (sometimes a mix!), often networking with Midi, OSC, and NDI and progamming more complex behaviours in Javascript.
I have done shows with live camera feeds, projections integrated into set design, and creative captions.
I have done eight shows with Blue Apple, a Hampshire-based Theatre company which makes shows with learning-disabled casts.
As of the start of 2026, I am AV1 for Perfect Show For Rachel, a tech-heavy show produced by Improbable and Zoo Co.
Creative Captions & video design for Blue Apple Theatre's Sherlock Holmes and the Thief of Antiquity
I regularly design video and captions for Blue Apple, a theatre company based in Hampshire which creates shows with learning disabled casts.
For this original production, I was given free rein to design the video for Sherlock's thoughts and deductions. We were able to projection map captions across the whole stage so that specific lines would appear near the characters speaking
The animations were designed in After Effects and the captions were run on Isadora.

Stills from the show:
Video design & captions for The View by the Zoo Co Young Company
The View was performed in 2025 at Southwark Dials Playhouse, and included graphics, animations, live wireless camera feeds, and on-stage chroma key.
The show follows three employees at a cinema who are sucked into a magical world of real life movies.
Video design for performance artist Agrona Ethelburga
Agrona Ethelburga (aka Glyn Owen, my co-writer on Knackered) is a drag artist who has performed across the UK and abroad.
I have been video designer for three of her acts: MADUNNASHARNA at Masterball 2025 (right), her performance of Kentucky Route Zero at Slaystation's Indie Games Night (2025), and the Welsh language piece Trowthy at Chapter Arts Centre (below).
Check out Agrona's instagram here.
UNBOUND: Grassroots improvised performance nights
UNBOUND was an (ir)regular improvised performance variety night featuring local artists in South London.
For each show, I would design the poster, edit the trailer, and then tech the performances and create live video art in response to the performance.
This would be a mix of pre-curated video loops, text, and live drawing, across multiple projection surfaces.
Each show was teched and projection mapped using Adobe Photoshop and Isadora.
Captions & video design for Blue Apple Theatre's Animal Farm
I've done many shows for Blue Apple Theatre, but this was a highlight because of how text was integrated into the set design.
Watch a recording of the show on YouTube.
Captions for Don't Feed The Penguin, a variety night by Zoo Co
Don't Feed The Penguin was a variety night hosted at Stanley Arts Centre aiming to confront the lack of accessible scratch and cabaret nights in the performing arts world.
I ran captions for the scripted segments of the show -- and occasionally typed as fast as I could for non-scripted segments!

I've done so much different work that it's hard to fit it all in -- so here are some other things I haven't been able to include otherwise.
-
One For All: a livestreamed gameshow with remote contestants
-
Pinocchia: an award-winning remote performance
-
Facilitation work and arts workshops
-
Tech support for simultaneous interpretation
-
Minority language film screenings
-
Four More Walls: award-winning digital workshops
My background
I've been drawing as long as I can remember, and making films as soon as I could get my hands on a camera.
I got into technical theatre at university, and learned the software for video design and projection mapping during lockdown.
I'm self-taught when it comes to coding and software development.
I now work as a freelance artist, filmmaker, and designer.
Skills
I'm a generalist and have a wide skillset, including:
Education
I have a BA in Philosophy and Linguistics (graduated 2021).
I studied film with the BFI FutureFilm Academy (2017) and was on the BAFTA Mentorship programme (2018).
I studied facilitation with the National Theatre Learning Department.
I have a Level 2 Certificate in British Sign language, and am currently studying Level 3.
While at school I took classes in cartooning and comic book art from HuwJ Matsumura.
My interests
I'm interested in stories: film, theatre, prose, music, journalism, anything with narrative.
I like working on projects which embrace and champion accessibility -- I've worked on projects with Deaf artists, learning-disabled artists, and artists with limb differences.
I'm interested in minority languages -- I've started curating film screenings of films in British/Celtic minority languages.
I love movies -- my favourite filmmaker is Buster Keaton.
I studied analytic philosophy at university, and am particularly interested in metaphysics and logic. I wrote my thesis on time travel.
I play bass guitar and occasionally write songs. I play basketball (badly) and am taking gymnastics/tricking classes.
